Meet the
Idea Action governing Team
Shakti Ghimire –
President, Age: 25
He leads Idea Action as President, with a significant portion
of his work focusing on the ICT, software engineering, Youth, Human Rights and sustainable
development.
He is Creator & Key person of this organization.
Behind his schooling, he was involved to formed a local level youth
organization (Green Valley Club), where he had worked for
over 3 years as a president. While he was in University student of
computer studies, he had forsaken all his responsibilities to
claimant from local organization and involved in national youth
focused human rights organization (HRERLIC-Nepal,
www.humanrights.org.np) where he begin his career as a volunteer
webmaster since 2000 and expand his responsibilities as Information
officer. He was also engaged in INSEC (INSEC
is leading NGO for Human Rights and social justice in Nepal) for
over one year, where he worked as a webmaster.
An international arena, he is
working as a founder and General Secretary of WSIS Youth South Asia,
which is a South Asian youth led ICT Campaign. Same time he is
coordinating WSIS Youth Nepal. He is an International Human Rights,
ICT & Youth
issues Scholar/Advocate; he has published several Articles on these
issues in different publications and websites since 2002.
In additional, to find out internal peace, he had
attended 3 days full moon mediation camp in osho tapoban and
another side
he had also
completed few months creative model training.

organized by International Youth Foundation and NOKIA.

He is a winner of the 2006 Youth Action Net award from the
International Youth Foundation and
Nokia,

Er. Bed .P. Bhattarai - Vice President Age 30
He takes up this position after working as the lecturer of
Kantipur
Engineering
College. He is working as a Mechanical Engineer in Nepal Electricity
Authority (NEA) at Training section, a semi-governmental only one
organization working for electricity in Nepal. He has
completed Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering from
Institute of
Engineering
(Tribhuvan University) Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur Nepal. His
involvement in social sector is significant. He is active member of
Nepal Engineers’ Association, only social organization of Engineers.
He is also executive member of Engineering Study Group, a
non-political organization of Engineers. As an Ex-Student of
Institute of Engineering in Bachelors Level, he is working as
Treasurers in IOEAA (Institute of Engineering Alumni Association).
He is a registered Engineer in Nepal Engineering Council.
He is Renewable Energy, political and social issues scholar. His
professional skills are: Proposal, Reporting,
Group Building,
Advocacy, Leadership, Planning, Evaluation, Monitoring Skill, Public
Relationship, Speaking and Announcement, Training and Facilitation,
Project Formulation and Management and Research.
Pradeep .S. Ghimire,
Treasurer, Age: 24
He is a student of ACCA that offer from UK and MBA from TU. He has Master level Knowledge,
how to run the organizational and he is funding proficient.
Organization management, which is his responsibility.
Mr. Gyan Hari Adhikari,
Secretary Age: 27
Mr. Adhikary a Economic proficient and professional journalist, who
has completed his master degree on economic and working as a
professional journalist in Kathmandu. He is responsible for publishing organization newsletters
and other publications.
Ms. Shashi Tara, Executive Member, Age 27
She has completed Master in Rural Development from
Tribhuvan
University
with First Division and working as a
gender and rural development expert.
Ms. Alina Gurung, Executive
Member Age 22
Ms Gurung,
ICT professional
has completed Bachelor of Information Technology(BIT) in Kathmandu. She has long
experience on child and social organizations. She is responsible for organizing and managing training events and
workshops in grassroots and national level among Disadvantage
groups, NGOs and Idea Action’s capacity-building
programs. She has attended International Youth Summer School in
India.

She is a
student of Master’s Degree in Social service.
She is representative form rural area of Nepal. And her areas of EXPERTISE FOR PROFESSION are
Community Mobilizations, Trainer for children, Health, and Social
Service/Development, leadership and political related issues and Group
building.
